I didn't even bother applying to Tuck because I simply was not attracted to spending 2 years in Hanover, nor the over emphasis on 'close-knit' community, which I (possibly unfairly) feel is a by-product of being stuck in the middle of nowhere. I already went to a NESCAC, so didn't need another 2 years, wasn't that impressed by Tuck's healthcare program, not an interesting culture, opps in areas I'm interested in aren't differentiating, etc. I say this since MBB recruiters told me straight up that I would have equal chances from both schools. Columbia is the better/more prestigious program, but there are plenty of situations where it would make sense to just take the money at Yale.
